Wonder why Gerwig chose to depict the characters to talk contemporarily.

I would love to see the scene when Amy and meg are happily freaking out that Jo loves Frederick. Greta Gerwig known for directing the movie Lady Bird Directed movie Little women and also wrote the movie based on book by Louisa May Alcott. I enjoyed Gerwig"s writing. The movie is about four sisters, oldest Meg March (Emma Watson from Harry Potter movies) second sister Jo (Saoirse Ronan from movie Ladybird) third sister Amy(Florence Pugh from movie Midsommar) and Beth (Eliza Scanlon. Each sister contributes to stability and joy for mother Marmee (Laura Dern. too talented and well known) and father March (Bob Odenkirk. famous Saul from Breaking Bad. Meg wants love, marriage, children. Jo wants to write and publish books and does not have any desire to change the perfect family setup. Amy wants to paint but always seems to feel second to Jo"s overambitious and defiant personality. Beth, the youngest, is frail and does not like confrontation and watches silently the battles between Jo and Amy. Timothee Chalamet(from movie Call me by your name) as Theodore/Laurie/Ted is full of love for Jo who has no place for him in her journey of life. The scene when Amy falls through ice following Jo and Ted is very emotional and shows true love, kindness and caring among siblings with great upbringing. The movie has excellent screenplay. Saoirse Ronan as Jo and Florence Pugh as Amy are terrific and both are worthy of Oscar nominations. The movie is 2hrs 15minutes too long. Some scenes were redundant. Screenplay, Direction and great ensemble. Oscar worthy.

This film is perfect from start to finish ! Thank you Greta Gerwig x. I"ve never actually seen Shakespeare in Love but this is an interesting vid anyway. Money ruins everything. Politics, sport, art... I love that gerwig decided to frame this scene as fiction. its tone is so different from the rest of the movie with this sort of cheesy romcom thing happening, but that"s because jo march put it in solely to please the publisher and sell her book. it was exactly like alcott, who wanted jo to stay alone but needed to marry her heroine off to someone to made sure the book sold in that time. i"m a huge book fan but i really love the change in canon; jo never really married and i think that"s consistent with her character and it"s what LMA would have wanted. it"s a rare example of the change made by a movie adaptation that actually honours the book and the author. gerwig really understood the book and its context on a meta level. god i love this movie.

BRING TIMOTHÉE CHALAMET TO PLAY THIS GAME. I love that they talk like normal Americans, not quasi-fake-Brits. Love it. Need an actor to play the dad? BETTER CALL SAUL. Gabourey should have won. Probably the only snub I"m still mad at today. I just saw this new adaptation the day after Christmas, and being a life-long resident of Eastern Massachusetts, I recognized SO MANY film locations - Concord, Harvard (town) Groton (seen from Gibbet Hill) Ipswich (Crane Beach) Boston"s Arnold Arboretum, etc. Though when it came to determining where (in Concord) they built an exact duplicate of the Orchard House (off Lowell Road) I had to look it up on Google Maps: at 4228"58.5N 7122"28.4W, the image shows the foundation of the duplicate house.

Get woke go broke. Laurie isnt wearing Jos ring anymore. This photoshoot should have been more winter-ish and shot in New York or Massachussets. and she should wear suits. Like. Variety, girl... It"s LITTLE WOMEN. Watch Stream ä¼ a.c.s. Little women is a masterpiece ???. Dear Lord how much we Love Saoirse. She is blessed and we are fortunate to see her work that she does with all her heart. Thank You Saoirse, Have a wonderful Christmas and New Years. Are you kidding? Elena looks so gorgeous this whole episode! Like natural makeup on her is stunning.

Having never read the book, seen the movie, nor watched the trailer until now: When I saw the 2019 trailer, I thought to myself Timothee Chalamet has the vibe of a young Christian Bale. Only to be dumbfounded that Christian Bale actually played the same character 25 years earlier in this movie.
